SACRAMENTO - Today, the California Problem Solvers Caucus announced the addition of two new members: Assemblymember Darshana Patel (D-San Diego) and Assemblyman Jeff Gonzalez (R-Indio).
"California deserves a government that delivers results," said Assemblymember Patel. "That's why I'm eager to join the CA Problem Solvers Caucus—to work with legislators from both parties and both chambers to tackle rising costs, expand economic opportunity, and ensure California lives up to its potential as the leader of the American Dream."
"I'm honored to join the California Problem Solvers Caucus, a group dedicated to bipartisan solutions that put people before politics," said Assemblyman Gonzalez. "By fostering collaboration and mutual respect, we can address California's most pressing challenges - like affordability, public safety, and economic growth. I look forward to working with my colleagues to make a meaningful impact for all Californians."
"The Problem Solvers Caucus is a place for people from all backgrounds to come together to identify common solutions to our state's biggest problems," said Assemblymember Anamarie Ávila Farías (D-Martinez), a co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus. "Assemblymembers Patel and Gonzalez will both bring their unique life experiences to our collaborative process, and I am excited to work with them both."
“We are excited to welcome two new members to the Problem Solvers Caucus, one from each side of the aisle," said Assemblymember Heath Flora (R-Ripon), a co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus. "Assemblymembers Patel and Gonzalez will offer new and exciting insights to the team moving forward.”
The California Problems Solvers Caucus was established in 2020, and seeks to find solutions reached through collaboration, not division; mutual respect, not partisan bickering; and will work in service to the people of California. The caucus is made up of both Assemblymembers and Senators, Democrat and Republican.
