New Members Join Problem Solvers Caucus
Today, the California Problem Solvers Caucus announced the addition of four new members to its roster: Assemblymember Anamarie Ávila Farías (D-Martinez), Assemblymember Mark González (D-Los Angeles), Assemblymember José Luis Solache, Jr. (D-Lynwood), and Senator Suzette Martinez Valladares (R-Santa Clarita).
"The California Problem Solvers Caucus has built a reputation for bringing together policy makers to identify and build upon common ground," said Problem Solvers Caucus member David Alvarez (D-San Diego). "We are excited to welcome Senator Valladares and Assemblymembers Ávila Farías, González and Solache to our caucus, and know that they will fit in with our already outstanding group of change makers and builders."
“California is at a crossroads, facing urgent challenges like wildfire prevention and recovery, public safety, and the rising cost of living. These issues demand bold leadership and innovative solutions," said Assemblymember González. "That’s why I’m honored to join the California Problem Solvers Caucus alongside my colleagues. Now more than ever, we need creative thinking and bipartisan collaboration to address these complexities and deliver meaningful, sustainable solutions that work for ALL Californians.”
“The only way to find real solutions for the challenges facing Californians is to put aside partisan differences and focus on real, pragmatic solutions. From addressing our affordability crisis, to making our communities safer and improving our schools, we must come together as Californians first—prioritizing the needs of families today and future generations," said Senator Valladares. "I’m encouraged by my fellow legislators who have joined with me to work across the aisle, to build consensus, and to take meaningful actions to improve the lives of everyday Californians.”
“I am honored to join the Problem Solvers Caucus as one of its newest members," said Assemblymember Ávila Farías. "I’m eager to engage in meaningful, bipartisan conversations and work towards practical solutions for the complex challenges facing our state.”
“My community sent me to Sacramento to work hard, deliver results, and be a strong voice for our district," said Assemblymember Solache. "As a member of the California Problem Solvers Caucus, I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to tackle the tough policy conversations and find innovative solutions to improve the lives of all Californians."
The California Problems Solvers Caucus was established in 2020, and seeks to find solutions reached through collaboration, not division; mutual respect, not partisan bickering; and will work in service to the people of California. The caucus is made up of both Assemblymembers and Senators, Democrat and Republican.
